Pasadena Village Volunteer Program
The Pasadena Village is based upon the belief that people of all ages and abilities can contribute to their community and that everyone benefits when people help each other. We enroll two types of volunteers in our program. The Village is itself a caring community. Village members become volunteers. They provide support for others within the Village in overcoming obstacles to healthy aging. Volunteers also include Non-Village members. People of all ages living in the Pasadena area become volunteers and assist Village members in navigating the challenges of aging. Our volunteers experience the satisfaction that comes with using their skills and support to make a positive difference in the lives of their neighbors.
There are many ways that volunteers contribute to the Village members. Some have special skills they share - leading tours of local museums, assisting with the Travel Buddies program, etc; others become members of our Village Driver's program. Younger volunteers often help members improve their skills in managing iPhones, iPads and other forms of confusing technology. Whatever your interests, check out our list of volunteer-provided support activities. See if something sparks your interest. Then check out below the process of becoming a Pasadena Village Volunteer.
